Tour enlightens local residents as to where their drinking water comes from

Invermere, B.C. – Many Canadians take their drinking water for granted and have little or no idea about where it comes from. Residents of Invermere, however, were provided the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the process earlier this week during a water event and tour put on by Wildsight’s Waterways. Participants learned water is locally sourced from melted ice from the Goldie Creek Watershed. Attendees also learned about the local sewer system and the impact of climate change on the system.
